CRO Analytics Appoints Bruce Wakeman as Chief Commercial Officer
New Hope, PA, August 18, 2015 – CRO Analytics, the leading provider of clinical research quality performance indicators, announced today that Bruce M. Wakeman has joined the company as Chief Commercial Officer. Mr. Wakeman will be responsible for CRO Analytics’ overall commercial strategy and execution, and will implement marketing, sales, and commercial operations and infrastructure for the launch of the company’s flagship product, PerformerTM.
“Bruce brings immense experience to our company and shares our passion for improving clinical trial quality. I could not be more thrilled to welcome him,” said Peter Malamis, co-founder and CEO, CRO Analytics. “His expertise, drive, and professionalism are as impressive and important as his track record in generating sales.”
Most recently, Mr. Wakeman served as Vice President, US Business Development at Worldwide Clinical Trials. His twenty year career spans proposal and contract development, clinical operations, business development and sales. Prior to Worldwide, he held a variety of senior business development roles, including US leadership at both large and specialized CROs, and led strategic development initiatives.
“We’re counting on Bruce’s experience to help our clients and business partners understand how to best deploy and make use of the company’s offerings, like our novel clinical trial quality system (CTQS), Performer,” said Malamis. “Bruce’s background will be instrumental to introducing Performer to the industry. Not only does Bruce understand the environment, but he listens, learns, and will help make constant improvement a part of CRO Analytics’ DNA.”
“After two decades in the CRO industry I’m excited to be a part of something like this,” explained Mr. Wakeman. “To introduce a solution that combats so many challenges that I’ve seen firsthand over the years, is ideal. I’ve worked with so many smart folks, that I know once they see what we can do, they’ll be just as enthusiastic as I am.”
Mr. Wakeman’s hiring coincides with the launch of the company’s flagship product, PerformerTM. The cloud-based enterprise offering is first clinical trial quality system (CTQS) and first application to collect and report quality performance indicators (QPIs). Performer is currently in use in several pilot programs and has been used to collect data on the first ever clinical trial industry quality assessment with Applied Clinical Trials. The company recently announced a collaboration with the Association of Clinical Research Professionals to develop a new instrument for investigative sites to assess clinical trial quality.
